OSB ~ Weigh In

Another week has passed...

I weighed in today and I have lost 3 lbs this week. My total is up to 5 lbs lost.

Only 41 lbs to go. ONLY!!! Geesh that seems so far away. I just keep thinking about all the cute clothes I will be able to fit into. Hell...if I lose that much weight, I think I may start wearing my bikini again (stetch marks and all!!!). I can't wait to be a Hot MILF...instead of a Meaty MILF.

If you are interested in joining the new sensation that is sweeping the nation. Head on over to Operation Skinny Bitch and drop a line. It is that easy!

Programming note...I haven't posted in a while about my little Jaxen. I think I will take some pictures and dedicate a post to my Angel sent to me from Heaven!! Stay tuned.

Couch to 5 K ~ And they're off...

I did it and I did not collapse.

Deirek and I started the Couch to 5K last night. It totally kicked my ass! Man, am I sore today. I have a feeling that we will be repeat week one. I could only run for the entire minute twice. The rest of the time I could only run for about 45 seconds at a time. It is a work in progress.

Jaxen thought it was great! He rode right along in the jogging stroller. He thought it was funny with Daddy running next to him. I think he thought Daddy was chasing him. (Cause that is usually the only time we run in our household) Maddy only made it one lap around the park. We had to stow her on the bottom of the jogging stroller. You know...the shelving where the diaper bags go. Well...that is where our lazy dog likes to ride and enjoy the show. I will try to take a picture next time. We get a ton of comments on the trail from other dog owners. They can't believe she stays there. Hell...about halfway into the workout...I was wishing I could sit down there with her. She is just like her Momma!!

I think the worst thing about our "run" (I use that word loosely.) was the damn horseflies. They were on a Kamikaze mission to eat us alive. We looked a site. Almost like we were doing some techno dance while trying to jog and push a stroller. I think the horseflies have a taste for aged meat cause they didn't bother my little Jaxen at all.

Tomorrow morning is weigh in....please send me as much skinny dust as possible. I am going to need it after all the fried food I ate last Friday at the State Fair. Check out this glorious, greasy list.

Corn Dog
Bloomin Onion
French Fries
Fried Chocolate Dipped Twinkie (cause the regular Fried Twinkie didn't have enough calories for me, I guess)
Fried Snickers
Fried Oreos
Fried Pickles

I am a little ashamed to post that list...but I need to air my dirty laundry. Now, I didn't eat all of that myself. But I did sample large portions. Oh was my stomach pissed off at me that night!!!

OSB - Week One

Hello all my blogging friends...

Well...week one has past on Operation Skinny Bitch. I really was a tad bit worried when I stepped on the scale this morning. I didn't think I had a good week. We had a family reunion then friends over on Saturday. Eat Eat Eat. My sister came over on Sunday and we made Rice Krispie treats...UGH...I think I ate 6.

I did pretty good on the week days. I now take my lunch to work. Not only is this helping to cut lbs, it is also helping to cut expenses. And I am not drinking "fat" Pepsi anymore. Only Diet Mt Dew for me or ice tea. I have been drinking more water at work. It helps that my cube mates and I made a drinking game (water drinking...not beer..haha) out of things certain people do. It is quite comical. I won't mention any names to protect the innocent. I will say that our company's water bill will probably increase drastically from all the water we have been drinking and bathroom breaks that result. One coworker was a little worried that we would get water poisoning...lol

Well...now for the results.....drum roll please.

I lost 2 lbs this week.

It is not too late. If you would like to join Operation Skinny Bitch, head on over and leave a comment. It is as easy as that. ~Great group of biatches~

Operation Skinny Bitch

Okay...I am very proud to be part of an elite group known as Operation Skinny Bitch.
Please head on over to the site and see what we are all about. You are more than welcome to join, if you make it past the grueling initiation. No really, all you do is give your name and how much you want to lose. You can even get a cute little button (like mine to the left) that you can add to your own blog.

I have struggled with my own weight issues since graduating high school. Of course, all through high school I would do fad diets. Looking back now, I wish I had more self esteem because I really was not fat at all. I am a tall woman (not Amazon height or anything) and have been all my life. It has always made me self conscience.

I am 5'8". Okay...so I am not THAT tall. But, I was always one of the tallest in my class.

There is NO way I am going to reveal how much I weigh. The taller you are...the more weight you can hide...and my hiding places are overstuffed and overflowing.

I am going to take this process 1 day at a time. Really...1 meal at a time. I know I am going to feel like a failure at times...but I will work my way through this.

I plan on taking a full body (clothed) picture of myself this weekend. This will be my before pic. Something to visually track my progress...or deter burglars...lol.

Watch out for those grates...

I got tagged by Tricia from Hippie Family fora meme: Six UN-Spectacular Things About Me.

Here are the rules...

1. Link the person who tagged you

2. Mention the rules on your blog

3. Tell about 6 unspectacular quirks of yours

4. Tag 6 following bloggers by linking them

5. Leave a comment on each of the tagged blogger’s blogs letting them know they’ve been tagged

I don't think I will have any issue coming up with 6 Un-Spectacular Things About Me. I may have an issue finding 6 Blogging friends. I guess no time like the present to make new friends.

1. I have a HUGE pet peeve....I hate in when people call the vegetable pumpkin...PUNKIN. What happen to the "M" and the "P"? I don't mind if you call you dear child Punkin....but not the big orange ball that grows in the ground. ....I'm just sayin...

2. I have a sister who is 18 years younger than me. I love her to pieces. Shout out to Kelsey. You make me very proud to be your sister.

3. I have worked with the same person at 3 different jobs. Is that not weird? Of course, I hate his guts. Boy George...enough said. (I think only Karla will get that, unless Angie happens to read my blog)

4. I dated my husband for 10 years before we married. I told him that we automatically get to add ten years on to all of our anniversaries. This year we will be celebrating 13 (actually 3, but you get it). We were married in Jamaica. He says that the Jamaican marriage certificate has an "opt out" clause after 4 years. I then commented that it works both ways. Next year is 4...so we will see. LOL.

5. I was the first in my family to graduate with a Bachelor's degree. That is something I am very proud of to this day. Now only if I could find a job that utilizes that degree....hahaha.

6. I am very much afraid of walking on grates. I was not aware of this until about 5 years ago. I was in Chicago with my husband (boyfriend at the time) and another couple. We were walking back from dinner and crossed the road (which was sort of an overpass). We had to walk on a grate to get to the other side. I made it to about the middle and completely froze and started bawling my eyes out. I could see the cars driving on the road under me. I barely made it to the other side. Needless to say...I walk around grates now.
People I am taggin...
1. Karla from Zander and Me - She has already done this...so I am kind cheating. Okay....I am really cheating.
2. Lindsey from The McMeens - Don't know if she will do it...but I am at a loss. I don't know very many people with blogs.
That is it. Every other blog that I go to already did this. So...I am breaking the chain. I so hope I don't get bad news in the next 48 hours or I won't get a call from my one true love in 1 week at 11:00 am. Gosh...it feels good to be bad sometimes.
Okay Karla...are you happy. I posted. I will try to get better. I promise. You just make it so hard, cause your posts are sooooooooooo good.

My Pink Rose...

My FIRST Award!!!

I got an award from Z's Mom from Zander and Me. Thanks Karla!

Here is what the Pink Rose Award is all about:
Give the Pink Rose Award to those who inspire you or need to be inspired, to those who have encouraged you or those who need encouragement.

Instructions on how to pass this along.

1. on your blog, copy and paste the award, these rules, a link back to the person who selected you, and a link to this post: "Pink is my favorite color...". There's a story of Pink Rose Award and other graphics to choose from.

2. Select as many award recipients as you would like, link to their blogs(if they have one), and explain why you have chosen them.

3. Let them know that you have selected them for an award by commenting on one of their posts.

4. If you are selected, pass it on by giving the Pink Rose Award to others.

5. If you find that someone you want to nominate has already been selected by someone else, you can still honor them by posting a comment on their award post stating your reasons for wishing to grant them the award.

6. You do not have to wait until someone nominates you to nominate someone else.

And I would like to pass this along to the following:

Karla of Zander and Me - Right back at you sista!! I am very, very proud of my friend Karla. She is the most inspiring blogger I know. I can only dream of the day my blog is half as witty as hers. She has me in stitches daily. Usually, my day starts with me reading her blog. She is a wonderful mother to my son's BFF. I turn to her for guidance in raising a toddler constantly. That is because our boys are only 17 days apart and they are usually going through the same issues at the same time.

Tricia from Hippie Family - To my friend Tricia...What can I say about her? Tricia's craftiness is very inspiring. She is the most "Martha Stewart"ish friend I have. I wish I had her energy. She was one of the first people to take me in when I first started working at my job. She befriended me very quickly, and I thank her for that.

Since I am still new to blogging, I haven't really ventured out in the blogging world to make new friends. I am still hoping to work on that. It seems the only time I have to dedicated to blogging is on my lunch hour. I may try to start multitasking...so I can scan blogs while watching Big Brother 10. Heck...that is one way I can us the MacBook I won at last year's Christmas party.
